A peaceful "laying or hovering of the hands" to promote rest and relaxation through a transfer of energy known as Ki, pronounced as "Chi." Used worldwide for a hundred years, this loving practice promotes calmness, connection, and thus healing within the body. You'll find it at hospitals and in private practice for both humans and pets.
Ki is a Japanese word that loosely translates to "divinely guided energy" and thus, can be looked upon as love - directed love energy that cannot be ever used to harm or hurt. Humans often feel a warmth or might report seeing colors. Animals typically fall asleep or relax onto the floor.
Anyone at anytime can receive Reiki. It can be performed in person or via distance depending on the animal, their state, and it will provide the same benefit.
If you pet your animal, chances are that your intentions are to help transfer your own love and affection to them. Reiki offers the opportunity to provide concentrated energy with the intention of providing calm so that the animal can live in harmony with the rest of the house.
Our mission is to provide total care for your animal in a holistic way which means that we provide Reiki in most of our services when we spend time with your pet unless you wish so otherwise.
Of course, you can! It's best to learn from a certified Reiki Master Teacher, and I am happy to refer you to the person who trained me.
